To set up email notifications in WinCC Unified, follow these general steps:

  • Configure the email server settings in WinCC Unified - involves providing the SMTP server address, port number, and login credentials for the email account that will be used to send the notifications.
  • Create an email distribution list - this list should include the email addresses of all technicians who should receive notifications when a problem occurs.
  • Configure the alarms and events in WinCC Unified - you need to define the specific alarms and events that should trigger email notifications to the technicians. For example, you might set up an alarm for a critical process variable that exceeds a certain threshold.
  • Configure the email notification settings for each alarm and event - this involves specifying which email distribution list should receive the notification, as well as any relevant message text or subject line.

Once you have completed these steps, WinCC Unified will automatically send email notifications to the specified distribution list when a problem occurs that triggers one of the configured alarms or events.
