In-meeting features

Enhancements to participant list status indicators

• Users can see visual indicators in the Zoom Rooms participant list that show which participants are currently sharing their screen. The sharing status indicators appear in both the Zoom Rooms for Touch interface and Zoom Rooms Controller interface.

Import scheduling displays via CSV file

• Account owners and admins can import Zoom Rooms devices configured as Scheduling Displays via CSV file imports.

Enhancements to room passcode security

• Account owners and admins can optionally set password complexity requirements for Zoom Rooms passcodes at the account, location, or individual room level. The new optional requirements include minimum length, special characters, numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters, and restrictions on consecutive characters. The new optional requirements are not enabled by default, existing room passcodes are unchanged, and the new requirements (if enabled) will only apply to newly-set room passcodes. The system implements an escalating time delay after multiple failed passcode attempts, starting with a 15-minute delay after the fifth attempt and increasing up to 8 hours after the ninth attempt to deter brute force password attacks. Each associated device maintains its own independent attempt counter, which resets when the correct passcode is entered on any device in the room.

Enhancements to low bandwidth alerts

• Account owners and admins can control whether Zoom Rooms displays network bandwidth alerts through a single client alert setting. When Alert when low bandwidth network is detected is disabled, both alert messages Your Internet connection is unstable and Your network bandwidth is low will not appear on the Zoom Room display.

AI Companion enhancement

• Users can claim ownership of ad-hoc meetings through QR code scanning or email verification when AI Companion features has been enabled. Once claimed, the meeting automatically inherits the user's personal AI Companion settings and the user will receive all the meeting assets from the meeting, such as recordings, meeting summaries, and whiteboards.
