How can I display a picture of myself (instead of a video) in meetings?

How can I display a static image instead of a video stream in my meetings? In all descriptions on Zoom (German and English), some menus, menu items, icons, links, tabs, etc. are notoriously mentioned, which are not displayed anywhere. Then the Help ChatBOT tells me about an icon in the top left corner that isn't there. I ask and quote him. Answer: he couldn't find anything about the top left-hand corner in the texts. As if I had made that up.

This is how all "support"dialogs go. And my two questions (the same content, one in English and one in German) are marked as "Closed" as soon as I have saved them, which apparently means answered or solved, but this is not the case due to a lack of response. Is Zoom now a communication tool, or an undeclared Dada project with the aim of putting Franz Kafka in the shade?

Option 1

When you open the Zoom app, go to your user profile -> Settings -> Video. Here you select your camera (preferably one where you can slide a cover in front of it or something similar).
Then go to Backgrounds and effects -> Upload a nice photo of yourself and select this as the background. Only your picture should be displayed in the preview.

Option 2

Install additional software such as OBS Studio, create a virtual camera with a picture as background. Then you can select in the meeting whether you or your picture should be displayed, depending on which camera you select.

There are certainly other possibilities, these are just 2 simple examples.
