What happens to the size of the recordings??

I have a curious question: In addition to recording my one to one meetings (2 users, 2 cameras), I sometimes record a "meeting" with only myself as a participant (one user meeting only). When I do this, something unusual happens to the size in MB of the recordings. In a meeting between two people, 1:40 (1 hour and 40 min in duration) generates a 900 MB file. But when I record only with me, only one user, only one camera, 40 minutes of recording generates a file of more than 2 GB. What kind of sorcery is this?

This is really an interesting question. I suspect it's because Zoom uses different video compression methods depending on the number of participants and the video quality.

If you are recording a one-to-one meeting with two cameras, Zoom most likely uses a compression method called "High Efficiency Video Coding" (HEVC) or "H.265". This technology is known to produce high quality video at a smaller file size. As a result, the file size could be around 900 MB for 1 hour 40 minutes.

This would be the only conclusive explanation for me.
