Update for Zoom Clips

New or enhanced feature

User features

Support mouse click highlighting during recording

  • Users can enable click highlighting while recording Zoom Clips to provide a visual indicator for mouse clicks. When enabled, a halo effect appears around the cursor whenever the user clicks, making interactions more visible to viewers.

Support higher resolution options (2K/4K)

  • Users can select higher resolution options when recording Zoom Clips on Mac devices (Mac M series), including 2K and 4K. The recording interface displays clear indicators showing which resolution is currently selected. When choosing higher resolutions, users receive information about the increased storage requirements and bandwidth needs for sharing these larger files.

Support clips streaming during a meeting or webinar

  • Hosts and participants can select and share clips from their library and stream it during meetings or webinars, without leaving the live session.

Standalone page for Zoom Clips

  • Users can access a dedicated standalone page for Zoom Clips via a unique URL - https://zoom.us/clips/library. This page allows viewers to watch clips independently without needing to navigate through the web portal. Creators can browse all their clips in a grid or list format with search and filter options available by keyword, creator, date, and tag. Each clip includes playback controls and metadata such as title, description, date, and tags. The standalone page respects visibility settings, ensuring public clips are only accessible to those with the appropriate permissions.

Customize waiting room with clips

  • Zoom Meeting hosts can select videos from their existing Zoom Clips library to customize their meeting waiting room. When customizing the waiting room settings, hosts will find a new Choose from my Clips Library option alongside the existing Upload Video feature. Only clips owned by the host are available for selection.

Audio quality detection indicator

  • Users receive a real-time visual indicator when the audio quality during their recording falls below an acceptable threshold. The system monitors multiple factors including microphone input level, background noise, and echo to determine audio quality. This non-intrusive but clearly visible indicator allows users to identify audio issues while they are still recording, giving them the opportunity to make necessary adjustments immediately. Users can choose to continue recording despite the warning or take steps to improve the audio quality.

Ability to reorder playlist

  • To control playback sequence and enhanced overall experience, playlist owners can customize the sequence of clips in their playlists. They can drag and drop clips to rearrange and the new order is automatically saved and persists across all devices and sessions. When viewers play the playlist, clips will play in the sequence determined by the playlist owner. This feature provides users with the same consistent experience whether accessing the playlist from a sharing link or from the Shared with me tab.
