Update for Zoom Tasks
Changed feature
Admin features
Additional Tasks role management permissions
- Account owners, admins, and users with edit permissions for the new Task Content role can edit task content. This enhanced access enables administrators to modify task titles, descriptions, and comments while retaining existing capabilities to manage users and attachments.
AI Companion
Use tasks within the AI Companion side panel
- Users can use AI Companion's capabilities for creating tasks via the AI Companion side panel. Once prompted, the side panel automatically loads the requested task. This integration creates a seamless workflow between task management and AI assistance.
General features
Request access to private tasks
- Users can request access to private tasks when clicking on a shared task link. When a request is made, an email notification will be sent to the task assignee and/or creator for approval. If the task is unassigned and the creator is no longer a collaborator, the request is sent to the first collaborator designated in alphabetical order.
Notifications when new tasks are assigned, recommended, or shared with a user
- A red dot indicator will be displayed next to newly added tasks across different tabs within Zoom Tasks. The indicators will appear when tasks are assigned, shared, or recommended to users. Red dots are displayed next to individual tasks in the My Tasks tab for new tasks and the All Tasks tab for shared tasks.
New help menu in the left navigation
- Users can access a new help menu in the bottom left corner of Zoom Tasks. The menu includes options to view the current version number, access the Help Center for support articles, check release notes in What's New , and provide feedback via a survey.
