Update for Zoom Tasks
New or enhanced feature
General features
Universal navigation header with product navigation
- Users can access a universal header component that includes a menu option to open another Zoom product, at the top of the web navigation. This provides standard navigation functionality for discovering and switching between different Zoom products.
Changed feature
Schedule focus time for tasks
- Users can schedule tasks for completion by quickly adding focus time when creating or editing a task. Users can pick a specific time and day to work on a task, which auto-generates a focus time event with a link to the task. This allows users to better optimize their time for task completion and view critical tasks on their calendar.
Enhancements to version management and refresh behavior
- The app preserves the current tab location during refresh instead of redirecting to the dashboard when a new version of Zoom Tasks has been released. Automatic refreshes are intelligently paused when users are actively editing tasks, whether inline, in modals, or within lists, resuming only after editing is complete.
Dismissing a suggested task only removes the user as the assignee
- When dismissing a task, instead of being removed as a collaborator, they will only be removed as the assignee, while maintaining their collaborator status. Tasks no longer require deletion when the sole collaborator attempts to dismiss them.
