Update

Update for Zoom Whiteboard

New or enhanced feature

Admin features

In-meeting export permissions for temporary users

  • Account owners and admins can enable in-meeting export settings to allow all meeting participants to export whiteboards to PDF format. This includes both temporary users and persistent collaborators who join the meeting.

User features

Zoom Whiteboard card generation

  • Users can generate and modify task cards directly through AI Companion in Zoom Whiteboard. This feature provides options to create multiple cards based on selected examples, simplify card content, and automatically generate descriptions and acceptance criteria. Users can select single or multiple cards as templates for generating similar cards. When creating cards, AI Companion analyzes the content to maintain consistency across related items.

Whiteboard layer management

  • Zoom Whiteboard now supports layer management, giving teams a smarter way to structure and control content. With Whiteboard Plus, you can organize diagrams and annotations into distinct layers that can be shown, hidden, or locked to keep the canvas focused and prevent unwanted edits. All editors can view, hide, and contribute to existing layers, while only Whiteboard Plus users can create new ones.

Whiteboard embed experience

  • The embedded Zoom Whiteboard experience in Zoom Docs now displays a cleaner interface by hiding collaboration UI elements in the default view. When users resize the embedded whiteboard, the content automatically re-centers to maintain optimal viewing.

In-meeting collaboration controls

  • Board owners and meeting presenters can now quickly manage participants access with a new toggle in the participant face pile. During meetings, you can easily choose whether users with temporary access can edit or view the board, giving you better control over when collaboration is needed.

Formula creation with LaTeX

  • Educators can now create and edit mathematical formulas using the new LaTeX formula object in Zoom Whiteboard. A built-in LaTeX editor is accessible from the core toolbar, allowing you to input equations that render instantly on the canvas. These enhancements make it easier to clearly present and collaborate on mathematical concepts during lessons.

Enhancements to drive integration

  • Users can access and manage their Zoom assets through Drive, a centralized file repository that consolidates meeting recordings, summaries, agendas, live notes, docs, whiteboards, clips, and other productivity assets. Drive provides an intuitive interface for organizing and searching meeting-related content after meetings conclude.

Delete grouped objects in canvas

  • Users can select and delete individual objects within grouped elements in Zoom Whiteboard.

Dark mode support for Zoom Whiteboard

  • Users can enable dark mode on the Zoom Whiteboard canvas. When dark mode is activated in desktop app settings, the Whiteboard canvas adopts the dark theme.
