Update for Zoom Whiteboard
New or enhanced feature
Admin features
Admin dashboard engagement analytics
- Admins can select rolling window periods of 1, 7, 28, or 90 days in the Usage and Engagement Details section to view user engagement metrics over flexible timeframes. The whiteboard engagement section respects the selected date range and rolling window period instead of being fixed to 28 days. All engagement data can be downloaded.
User features
Project sharing workflow
- Users can view which team members are already added to a project directly within the share modal dropdown, with an "added" notation displayed next to existing members. Users can also copy project links using a dedicated copy button on the project page, eliminating the need to manually copy URLs from the browser address bar.
Participation reporting for whiteboards
- Whiteboard owners and co-owners can generate participation reports to track engagement during whiteboarding sessions. The system identifies participants who accessed the whiteboard and distinguishes between active contributors who made changes and view-only participants who opened the board without taking action. For each participant, the report tracks whiteboard actions including adding objects, editing content, commenting, deleting items, and reactions with timestamps. This feature generates aggregate metrics such as total participants, number of active contributors, and total whiteboard actions. Participation report can be accessed through the board activity log and history.
Collaborative timer with music options
- Users can add background music or soundscapes to collaborative timers in Zoom Whiteboard. Board owners and facilitators can select from predefined music styles including focus, upbeat, calm, or playful tracks when creating or starting a timer. All participants hear the synchronized music stream during the countdown, with individual mute options available in the timer toolbar. This feature includes optional audio cues for timer start, warnings near completion, and mandatory chimes at timer end.
AI Companion image generation in Zoom Whiteboard
- Users can generate images directly within Zoom Whiteboard using AI Companion. They can create images from text prompts using the sparkle button in the left toolbar, or by selecting any canvas objects including drawings, shapes, images, and text to provide visual context for generation.
