Delta Robots

Delta robots are special kinds of parallel robots, consisting of three arms that are connected to high-torque servomotors, mounted on a rigid frame. The crucial design feature is that robotic arms are arranged in a parallelogram, therefore maintaining the orientation and restricting twisting motion. The main benefit of Delta robots is that the motors are fixed on the frame, allowing the moving parts to be very light and flexible. In contrast, each motor of an articulated arm robot carries the weight of all other successive motors.
