General features

Visitor photo check in

• Visitors can choose to use their photo as an alternative to manual code entry when checking in at Zoom Rooms kiosks to notify the host of their arrival. During registration before their arrival, visitors can consent and upload their reference photo for check-in purposes. Admins can enable or disable this feature.

Simplify meeting transfer to zoom rooms

• Users can transfer their ongoing desktop or mobile meeting to a Zoom Room using the Transfer to Zoom Room button. The button opens a modal displaying nearby available Zoom Rooms, with an option to manually search if automatic detection fails.

Badge printing for supported devices

• Admins can enable automatic badge printing directly from Zoom Rooms Appliances.

In-meeting features

Recording status notification on Zoom Rooms Controller interface

• The Zoom Rooms Controller interface displays a recording notification icon in the upper left corner during active recordings.

Meeting information visibility

• Zoom Rooms users can access detailed meeting information that matches the data shown on Zoom Workplace desktop and mobile apps. The interface now displays meeting titles, host names, timing details, meeting IDs with passcodes, and available join links. Users can view meeting descriptions based on configured privacy settings.

Meeting hosts can edit Smart name tags from the desktop app

• Meeting hosts can create and edit Smart name tags generated by Zoom Rooms, during a meeting, directly from their Zoom Workplace desktop app. Co-hosts can edit the smart name tags as well. Smart name tag changes sync across meeting features including closed captions, live transcripts, AI Companion, and cloud recording transcripts. If both Zoom Room users and meeting hosts make edits simultaneously, the most recent change is applied.

Admin features

Disable check-out on scheduling displays

• Account owners and admins can disable the check-out functionality on scheduling displays. Users can still check out from meetings using other options, including the Zoom Workplace desktop app, Zoom web portal, and Zoom Room controllers. This setting can help prevent scheduling issues caused when users unintentionally check-out.
