How do we diagnose mic issues with Rally bar + mic pod (default mode)?

We have a boardroom install with rally bar and single mic pod (installed as per the guidance in terms of placement/room size etc). The room is fairly acoustically challenged but our previous VC solution was fine.
On calls where Teams reports low latency/jittering and ~1% packet loss, we get intermittent audio quality issues - often affecting a single speaker mid speech. We guessed either network issues or the mics contesting each other but I think we've ruled out the network.
What else can we use to diagnose and solve the issue?

  • One possibility would be to activate the Echo Boost to exclude the change of microphones.
  • check the cables and devices for any damage.
  • Connect the Rally Bar to a PC with a USB cable and select the Rally Bar with a suitable audio software. Then put the microphone's function through its paces. Here you can exclude the microphone or the software. Then test the whole thing with teams. Possibly the problem lies with the network of the opposite side.
  • Improve the network connection of the Rally bar and prioritize the data traffic if necessary.
