Suggested steps to trouble shoot black camera image?

We're encountering an issue with our Rally Bars, specifically regarding the camera image appearing too dark, which is causing confusion among our users who assume that the camera isn't working. We're running these Rally Bars on Windows NUC devices that are Teams Room certified.

Interestingly, when we initiate a Teams preview, the camera image starts out dark but then lightens up after a second, making it clear that the camera is, in fact, operational. It seems like there might be some contrast or brightness setting that's being automatically adjusted.

We've also noticed that this issue is not affecting some of our other Rally Bars, which behave normally.

We would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Answers

You can download the latest version of Logitech Sync.

  • Update your Rally Bars to the latest version.
  • In the Sync settings under Camera at the bottom you can turn off the automatic white balance so that they automatically start with a certain setting as well as contrast etc..
  • Try a little bit with the settings or set everything back to default.
  • Avoid direct sunlight into the camera
