Do my team members see who I am talking/texting to?
I had a conversation with a potential new employer today, but it went through my current employer's Teams account. I had specially created a private account for myself, but the conversation then ran through the other account.
Can my current employer see that I had the conversation?

Top answer
It is unlikely that your current employer will be able to see the conversation you had with a potential new employer through your Teams account, unless there are special monitoring or auditing tools used by your current employer.
Teams is designed to keep communications within an organization secure and private. Your employers typically do not have access to the content of any of your private conversations or accounts that you use on your own time.
However, there are some exceptions, such as when your employer has the right to monitor your work computers and devices, or when you use your work technology to conduct private activities. In this case, your employer may be able to access your Teams activities.
