Teams Phone Lobby- Group Pickup?

There is a Team's Phone in our main lobby. We would like to have it where if someone comes in, they can pick up the Team's Phone, press a number key and then it rings to a group of about 5-10 people that we designate to be in charge of that.Is there a way to do this?

Do you want the handset to call different groups depending on what digit is dialled?
If not, you can deploy a handset that supports configuration of a hotline/auto-dial (Teams does not currently allow hotline to be configured on a service via the Admin portal*) as a SIP device (registered via the Teams SIP Gateway) and have it dial a Call Queue that contains the 5-10 people as members when the handpiece is lifted or loudspeaker button is pressed.

  • Microsoft advise that native hotline/auto-dial capability will be available by June 2023... I'd try the SIP device solution in the meantime 'just in case' that slips
