Teams Room Device - Audio Sharing?

I work in an environment in which music needs to be shared in Teams meetings. We have a Teams device set up in a conference room with high quality audio equipment but when audio is shared from a computer through HDMI connected to the Teams device, the quality is great in the room but horrible to those who are joining the meeting externally. This happens even when the mics are muted (to confirm the music is not coming through the room mics). Is sharing audio in through a Teams Room device using Local HDMI still not supported by Microsoft?

The problem is that audio quality when transmitted over HDMI from the computer to the Teams device is independent of the quality of the device. Even if the Teams device has high-quality audio equipment, audio quality and performance can be affected by various factors, including the performance of the computer, HDMI connection, and other network factors.

Microsoft recommends instead using a dedicated audio device connected directly to the Teams device for better audio quality. This can be either a USB microphone or a USB audio interface designed to connect professional audio and microphone equipment. In this way, audio quality can be optimized for external participants while the Teams device provides high-quality audio and video performance in the conference room.
