Update

Microsoft Teams enables the display of various backgrounds

The update, which was released in mid-April, allows Microsoft teams to change their own background of the video chat by choosing one from a selection of given photos.

In addition, with a simple trick it is also possible to include your own pictures, although there is no upload function. For this purpose, one has to open the own folder in Windows. Alternatively you can use c:\User\. There you have to select the folder AppData. If this is not possible, one has to change the folder and search functions over the menu/view.

When opening the window select the tab View to click on the item "Hidden files and folders" under "Advanced settings".

Here you now activate "Show hidden files, folders and drives". The AppData folder is now displayed. Now select Roaming/Microsoft/Teams/Backgrounds. In this folder you can see the backgrounds that you cannot delete.

In addition the subdirectory Uploads is displayed. In this directory you can add your own pictures, they can be based on the resolution of the existing backgrounds of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels and can be saved in PNG- and JPG-format.
