If you are using OneDrive one quick way is to do the following:

  1. Open OneDrive Settings by clicking the OneDrive icon in the Windows tray area. After that, click the OneDrive Help and Settings icon, then click Settings.
  2. Locate and click Sync and back up, and then expand the Advanced settings. You will see Files On-Demand. there click Free up disk space. This will turn all your files into online-only files that will not be available offline on your local disk.
  3. Click Continue as seen on the screen shot .
  4. On the file explorer Select all and right click to choose Free up Space.
