Synchronization via Hue app of the lamps with the computer

The Philips Hue Sync application lets you control Hue lamps from your PC or Mac.

According to Philips, a new application for Windows and MacOS computers is being developed to control the smart Hue lamps. The Hue Sync. It is designed specifically for Windows 10 and MacOS High Sierra.

Although the system is primarily designed for games and movies, it should also work for all other applications. In the future, Hue lighting units will glow in different colors when music is playing.

Users will be able to control the intensity of the effects. In addition to Hue Sync, Philips is also working on the third generation of the Hue App. It will feature a redesigned user interface to make it easier to access scenes and other controls. It remains to be seen whether the app will also have new features.

Philips did not comment on this point. Both the Hue App 3.0 and Hue Sync are expected to be released in the second quarter of 2018.
