Update of Philips Hue App enables use of Siri Shortcuts

Philips Hue App users who also have an Apple iPhone can now use Siri shortcuts to control their lights. This is made possible by a new update to the app that makes everyday life easier with even more convenient controls.

Siri can learn when to use which Hue scenes and offers suggestions of your favorite scenes to activate on the lock screen. Apple Siri Shortcuts can be used to store voice commands to activate the lighting scene you want. For example, you can say "Hey Siri, it's time for tea" to trigger special scenes for your tea party.

Unfortunately, the Apple shortcut app currently only allows you to control specific Hue scenes, not individual lights. The new feature also requires version 2 of the Philips Hue Bridge.
