I just can't get it to transfer the transfer in real time on my Macbook pro. I have connected an HDMI cable from Flip (screen share) on the laptop. Then switch to export with cable connection. Unfortunately nothing happens.
Can one of you explain to me step by step how to make this work?

You can not simply feed the HDMI output signal into a laptop/Mac via HDMI, because the HDMI port on the Mac is an HDMI output.
You need an HDMI input adapter ( e.g. Logitech "Screen Share").
