The TCP command consists of a portion of the Modbus RTU message and a separate header. From the modbus RTU message, SLAVE ID and CRC checksum are removed. This forms a PDU (Protocol data unit) message. An MBAP header is added at the beginning of a received PDU message. The MBAP header and PDU message together make modbus communication.
