Possibility to bind devices to an installation.
New Product Support
- Support for the new product from the TeamConnect Family:
TeamConnect Ceiling Medium (TCC M)
New Features
- Device Claiming:
The feature is introduced to bind the device to a specific Control Cockpit installation, preventing any unauthenticated device control within the network. In order to configure TeamConnect Ceiling Medium devices, click the “Claim Device” button in the device list, enter the factory default device password and set your individual device password. You can find the factory default device password in the device manual and in the quick guide. Device control communication is encrypted and can not be accessed without the set password. - 3rd Party Device Control:
The 3rd Party device control access for TeamConnect Ceiling Medium devices is encrypted and protected using username and password. To set a 3rd Party device control password, use the “Access” tab in the device configuration page. - Power over Ethernet (PoE):
The indicator for TeamConnect Ceiling Medium shows, if sufficient power for daisy chaining is supplied and if daisy chaining is currently in use.
Known Issues
- In some scenarios, the serial number of an unclaimed TCC M device is not displayed in the “Device List”. Please restart the Control Cockpit service to solve this issue.
- When updating network settings in a TCC M multi selection, the changes are not reflected immediately in the UI. Please refresh the browser page to show the changed values.
- After a factory reset of a TCC M device, this device can no longer be identified until it is claimed.
- In certain cases, the claim button of an unclaimed TCC M device will not be displayed after a factory reset and a subsequent restart of the Control Cockpit service. Please restart the Control Cockpit service again to solve the issue in this case.
- When changing “Ethernet Settings” for TCC M, the changes are not reflected immediately in the UI. It may take up to 30 seconds until the changes are visible.
- In case the network cable gets disconnected or the network communication between device and Control Cockpit gets interrupted while performing a firmware update on a TCC M device, a proper failure message might not be shown.
- When performing an audio settings reset while the “Show Far End Activity” feature is enabled, the feature will become disabled although being shown still as “enabled” in Control Cockpit.
- In certain cases, unclaimed devices can not be removed from the “Device List”.
- If a 3rd party password is set for a specific device by one Control Cockpit instance, other Control Cockpit instances are not able to read the password properly, due to security reasons.
- In case the location name between Control Cockpit and the location name stored on the device does not match, a notification will be issued in Control Cockpit. The location name used in the Control Cockpit application will be kept and stored on the devices.
- After updating the Sennheiser Control Cockpit from version 5.0 or earlier, multiple notifications of location name conflicts may occur (unless the location name stored on the device already matches the location name used in the Control Cockpit).
- For Windows 7 users the updating from Control Cockpit Version 4.0.0 or earlier requires manually installation of the Microsoft Windows .NET 4.8 Package from https://dotnet.microsoft. com/download/dotnet-framework/net48 before continuing with the installation.
- Firmware updates of devices must be started from multi selections of unique product types only, due to a limitation in mixed multi selections.
- Operation of evolution G3 and G4 devices are limited to either one Sennheiser Control Cockpit installation or third party control.
- Evolution G3 and G4 devices can only connect within local subnets.
- We recommend clearing the browser cache after the update. Under certain conditions the browser may keep old user interface elements in its cache. Especially, updating from Control Cockpit Version 1.0.0 requires manually clearing the web browser cache (Ctrl-Shift-Del).
