• The new PN/PN coupler in firmware version 6.0.1 supports the innovative "Isochronous Coupling" operating mode. This feature enables synchronization of decoupled PROFINET domains to ensure deterministic data exchange.
• Compared to the "Non-Isochronous Coupling" operating mode, firmware version 6.0.1 offers extended functionalities in Isochronous mode. The details of the new functions of the PN/PN coupler in isochronous mode are described in detail in Chapter 7 starting on page 103 of the documentation.
• With the introduction of the Isochronous Coupling mode, users can now realize precisely timed data transmissions between decoupled PROFINET networks. This opens up new possibilities for high-precision, synchronized control applications in automation technology.
