Potentially erroneous behavior with using the speed override

Important notes

With the SIMATIC S7-1500T/TF with firmware version V3.0.1, unexpected behavior may occur in TO Kinematics in rare cases under certain conditions when using the speed override. In firmware version V3.0.1, the speed override in TO Kinematics must therefore not be used.

With the SIMATIC S7-1500T/TF technology CPUs with firmware version V3.0.1, unexpected behavior may occur in the kinematics in rare cases under certain conditions when using the speed override. This also applies to the reloadable Motion Control package "S7-1500T Motion Control KinPlus".

The speed override acts on the speed of the tool working point (TCP) along the path. If you change the speed override of the kinematics, the change will take effect directly for the kinematic movement.

If you use the Speed Override function in conjunction with the TO Kinematics, unexpected behavior may occur in rare cases under certain conditions. As a result, the kinematic axes can perform unexpected movements, sometimes with increased dynamics. The associated effects can be severe, such as unexpected acceleration, overloading of the mechanical system, and even damage.

To prevent the associated effects, the speed override in TO Kinematics must therefore no longer be used in firmware version V3.0.1.
