Does not support virtual backgrounds?

Why can't I get virtual backgrounds on my Lenovo T540P laptop?

It has an Intel i5-4300 cpu and I'm using the latest zoom download (5.6.3).

I put my cursor over a background I want to use and a pop-up appears saying "your device does not support virtual backgrounds"

When I click on "Learn more" it just tell me which processors are needed, and mine should work.

There are several possible reasons why you cannot get virtual backgrounds on your Lenovo T540P laptop:

  1. although your laptop has an Intel i5-4300 CPU, which theoretically provides support for virtual backgrounds, there may be certain limitations. Therefore, check the specifications of your CPU to make sure that it meets the requirements for virtual backgrounds.
    Make sure that you have the latest graphics drivers installed for your Intel CPU. If your graphics drivers are outdated, this may result in virtual backgrounds not being supported.
    Make sure that the virtual background feature is enabled in the zoom settings. To do this, go to Settings -> Background & Filter and make sure Virtual Background is enabled.
    Check if your camera supports virtual backgrounds: Check your camera's specifications to make sure it supports virtual backgrounds. If your camera does not support this feature, you will not be able to use virtual backgrounds.
