How do I start a survey/poll question in a Zoom meeting?

The Host user must be licensed. iOS and Android users can participate but managing the poll you will need to use the Zoom desktop client. Assuming that your “Polling” feature is enabled on the Zoom meeting, just follow the steps to create and launch a poll.

Create a poll (Zoom web portal)

1. Go to Meetings page then click on a scheduled meeting (if you don’t have one, click on Schedule a New Meeting)
2. From the meeting management page, scroll down and look for a Poll option then click Add to create a poll
3. Enter title and question (additional options can be found like making the poll anonymous and making participants choose only one answer or choose multiple answers)
4. Type in the answers for your question then click Save
5. You can add questions for the particular poll by clicking “+Add a Question”. Repeat step 2 to add more polls (maximum of 25 polls for 1 meeting).

Launching the poll

1. When in a meeting with Poll being enabled, select Polling option found on the bottom corner menu
2. Select the poll that you would like to be launched then click Launch Poll
3. The attendees to the meeting will be prompted to answer the poll and the host will see the results as it happens
4. Click End Poll if finished
5. If you want to share the results to the attendees, just click Share Results
