How to improved video?

If I share a video with smallish text on it, the text is unreadable. Headline text is not too good but acceptable.

I thought I had found a solution: turn off 'Optimize for video clip'. All the video crisp and the text is readily readable.

BUT now the video is jerky. There is a still image about one a second. Nice and clear but not smooth motion.

Is there a compromise solution, or do I have to choose? For some videos this solution is not ideal but may be acceptable.

A possible compromise solution would be to set the Zoom client to use a higher bandwidth for screen shares. This will increase the transfer speed and should improve the quality of the video without causing judder. Here are the steps to adjust the settings:

  1. open the Zoom client and click Settings (gear icon) in the upper right corner of the window.
  2. select Screen Sharing from the left menu.
Select High Quality under Screen Sharing Optimization. 4.
Make sure that Use Hardware Acceleration for Screen Sharing is enabled. 5.
  3. click Save.

Then try sharing the video again while you have Optimize for video clip disabled. If the video still doesn't run smoothly, you can try increasing bandwidth for Zoom by closing other devices and applications that may be consuming bandwidth during the meeting.
