Zoom App/Zoom via Internet Browser?

I have the following problem.

My boss and I would like to use Zoom in our home office. We both have the Zoom app on the laptop. When I send him an invitation to the Zoom conference, he gets a link in the email to click on and also a meeting ID and a passcode.

With the meeting ID and the identification code, you can log in to the meeting in the Zoom app.

Is there a way to set up Zoom so that when you click on the link, Zoom dials into the conference via the app and not via the browser?

My boss is blind and unfortunately Zoom is not accessible in the sense that he can copy the meeting ID and the identification code into the Zoom app.

And going through the browser is a pain after all....
