Zoom - Update and meeting identification code are queried?

Hello, I recently participated in a major Zoom meeting.
(Laptop, operating system Linux Ubuntu, own Zoom account).

First, I am always prompted to update my version at meetings of this organizer, even though I have the latest (Linux) version installed.
I then join the meeting via "Join by Browser".

Last time I was asked to enter a meeting identification code. This happened to several other participants. Others came directly into the room. The organizer just commented that there was no password set up.

Do these problems happen more often?

I found the option in the settings to disable the meeting passcode prompt when attending from the client or room system. Is this the solution?

Thanks!
Katja

It is quite possible that Zoom meetings may occasionally experience such problems, as there may be various factors that can cause them to malfunction.

It could be that the update problem is due to incompatibilities between the Linux version you are using and the Zoom software. In this case, it is recommended to report the problem to Zoom support so that they can provide possible solutions.

Prompting for a meeting password can depend on a number of factors, such as how the host has set up the meeting or whether the link to the meeting may have been copied incorrectly. Disabling the meeting password prompt can help avoid such problems.
