Zoom usually works fine - today, it crashes when I join?

I've been using Zoom as a participant without any problem for the past 1 yr and a half. Just these past 2 days - when I tried to join to a meeting through a link or id, it does:
1. Loading screen

2. Show the meeting window (with my name on it), but automatically closes (usually it works just fine)

3. It then retries and pops up the loading screen again (as shown in no 1), then no 2, and closes again. And nothing happens aftewards

Can anybody help w this? thank you

If you are using the desktop app, you could try joining via the web version to rule out it being your app.
