Alexa Voice Service
Can conventional luminaires also be controlled via Alexa?
Can I use an Alexa/Echo device to control conventional, i.e. not intelligent, luminaires? To be exact, something like a fairy light or a lava lamp?

Yep you can integrate them into your smart home using a smart plug. And in order to connect them to Alexa, simply use a compatible one (e.g. TP link wifi smart plug).
Cool! So simple! And does this also work if you want to control those two lamps at the same time?
Simply use an extension cord or an outlet splitter and that should work.
Thank you! Great solution I'll try it out
