How do I set Alexa to not receive calls?

I wanted my alarms to work in the morning but don’t want the random calls at night.

You can do it by using the “Do Not Disturb” feature, it will block calls including notifications and messages but alarms/timers will still work. To make this happen just say “Alexa, turn on Do Not Disturb” or setting it up manually via the Alexa app on your mobile device (steps are provided below).

  1. Launch the Alexa app
  2. Tap on Devices
  3. Choose Echo & Alexa
  4. Select Do Not Disturb
  5. Toggle on/off the Do Not Disturb feature
