How to delete Alexa voice recordings?

Knowing that you can now ask Alexa to delete your recordings. I am looking for an updated guide to access recording history/settings to follow and to use for future reference.

Recording deletion can be done using the Alexa App and/or through your PC.

Alexa App

  1. Open the Alexa App
  2. Tap on the Menu icon
  3. Click on Settings
  4. Select Alexa Account
  5. Choose History
  6. You are now one the ‘Review Voice History’ page where you can enable/disable recording 'Deletion by Voice', some of your recordings are displayed as well and the date range in which what recordings are displayed (Today/Yesterday/This week/This month/All History). You can also click on a function in which it can delete everything depending on what Date Range you have selected. In this same page you can selectively delete your recording/s there by tapping on the ’v‘ (dropdown) icon right beside the recording you want to delete and tap on ‘Delete Recording’

PC/Web Browser

  1. On your browser, go to www.alexa.amazon.com
  2. Sign in using your Amazon credentials
  3. On the Menu found on the left side, select Settings
  4. Scroll down and look for Alexa Account options
  5. Click on History
  6. You are now one the ‘Review Voice History’ page that is virtually identical to the one found from the Alexa app, which means you have the same options and process to delete your recordings.

Note: When ‘Deletion by Voice’ is enabled, you can now just command Alexa to delete your recordings. For example, just say “Alexa, delete what I’ve said today” and Alexa will delete everything that has been said to her today or saying “Alexa, delete what I have just said” and she’ll delete the last recording, and so on.
