How to resolve the error 403 i.e. invalid AWS account?

I am trying to integrate AVS with AWS IoT Core. I am done with the AVS LWA Authentication flow. Now, I have to use this LWA token to register with AIA and establish a shared secret. After sending a JSON message to https://api.amazonalexa.com/v1/ais/registration I am receiving the error 403 i.e. invalid AWS account. How to resolve this?

The 403 error "invalid AWS account" indicates that the AWS account you are using to integrate with AWS IoT Core is not valid or does not have the required permissions. Possible reasons for this error could be:

  • Incorrect AWS credentials: Verify that the credentials you are using to authenticate to the AWS account are correct. Ensure that you are logging in with an account that has the required permissions for AWS IoT Core.
  • Missing IAM Roles: Ensure that your AWS account has the correct Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles assigned to access the required AWS services.
  • Erroneous Permissions: Verify that security groups and network configurations are properly configured to allow communication between your endpoint and AWS IoT Core.
  • AWS IoT Core authentication and authorization: Ensure that your IoT Core authentication and authorization are properly configured to allow your endpoint to communicate with AWS IoT Core.
