I’ve tried setting up Apple Music as my default music service on my own but it doesn’t work using the instructions I’ve found online. Just wanted to make sure if I’m doing it right by knowing the steps followed by other users.

First things first, make sure that you have an Apple Music active subscription. Make sure the Alexa app is up to date. Apple Music for Alexa is only available as of the moment for Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States.
If we meet every requirement above. Open the Alexa App then follow the steps below:
Tap on the Menu icon located in the upper left corner
Tap on Settings
Select Music located on Alexa Preferences’ sub menu
Tap on the ‘+’ icon to Link New Service
Select Apple Music
Tap on ‘Enable to Use‘
Sign in using your Apple ID credentials
Allow the Access Request
Choose ‘Visit Music Settings’ when a prompt asks you to choose your default music service
Choose Apple Music in the Default Services options and see to it that there’s a checkmark right beside Apple Music
And that should be it, Apple Music on Alexa is now set up and is now your default music service.
