Skype call from Amazon Echo to another Echo device?

Can I use the Skype application on the Echo devices to call Skype accounts that are linked to an Echo? So, quasi from echo to echo telephoning, without the remote station being in your own network.

As I
understand, you and the one you’re trying to contact have Echo devices, each
connected to a separate network. You are trying to call the said contact from your
Skype linked Amazon Echo device to call another Skype linked Amazon Echo
device. In this case, it will indeed work. Alexa skype calling will work even if
the one you’re trying to contact is somewhere as long as they have a stable
internet connection for their wireless devices and their Skype account linked
to the echo device. As the Echo device is linked to a Skype account, that
device will now have access to some of Skype’s features and functions which
includes receiving and making Skype calls. Both you and the one you’re trying
to contact will have this capability as both of you provided the permission for
that Echo device to use your Skype credentials to use Skype features. Hope this
helps.
