How can I prevent strong noise and droning?

Hello,

I use the following equipment for live streaming on YouTube

Camera: CANON XF705
Microphone: Shure BLX288E/SM58
Mixing console: IMG STAGELINE MMX-602/SW
Live control: ATEM Mini Pro
Software: OBS Studio 28.0.3 64bit Windows

When I go from the mixer to the audio inputs from the ATEM Mini via the XLR outputs using an XLR jack adapter, I get a loud boom. The sound is distorted to the max.

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix the drone?

I am grateful for any help.

Best regards
Thorsten Schulz

The audio input of the ATEM Mini Pro is a stereo jack input:

Analog input:Unbalanced stereo

XLR is a balanced signal. Probably the adapter passes the balanced signal to the stereo input.

1. Use another adatper that uses only signal + GND (mono)

2. Check level from mixer

.
