Initially, it sounds like there may be a problem with the Bluetooth driver on your laptop. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the issue:

  • Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver for your laptop: Go to the website of your laptop manufacturer and download the latest Bluetooth driver for your specific laptop model.
  • Update Windows: Make sure that your version of Windows is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click "Check for updates." Install any updates that are available, including driver updates.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver: Go to Device Manager, locate the Bluetooth driver, right-click on it, and select "Uninstall device." After it uninstalls, restart your computer and Windows should automatically install the latest driver. If not, you can manually install the driver again from the manufacturer's website.
  • Check the Bluetooth service: Go to Services (type "services" in the Windows search bar), find the Bluetooth Support Service, right-click on it, and select "Properties." Make sure that the service is set to "Automatic" and that it is running.
  • Reset the Bluetooth device: If you are still having issues connecting to a specific Bluetooth device, try resetting the device by holding down the pairing button for a few seconds.

If none of these steps work, there may be a hardware issue with your laptop's Bluetooth radio. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance or consider using an external Bluetooth adapter.
