Do I need to set a password to get started?
Is it necessary to set up a password to work with the Crestron CP4 device, or is there a default username and admin password for it?

To access the web configuration interface for the first time with Crestron CP4, you will be asked to create an admin account.
You will receive a similar message if you are connecting the control system in Crestron Toolbox if that admin account is not already set up.
To create the admin account, enter the username and password in the appropriate fields when asked (when you first connect to the CP4) and click OK. You will be displayed a message that enabling the authentication will restart the web session. After the restart, enter the details created.
Note - If you lose the username and password for the admin account, you need to factory reset the control system to regain access. Also, this username and password are used for connecting with Crestron Toolbox as well as XPanel.
