So generally the CP4 is a new generation that provides better speed and processor performances than the CP3.

If we compare them in a simple, single-threaded code you can see a slight difference between both processors.

On the other hand, in more complex multi-threaded programs, thus causing higher overhead, coordination, and communication, the CP3 performances drop significantly after many iterations, while the CP4 still provides high performance.

If you have implementations that do require parallelized tasks the 4-series is going to provide better performance.
