I have several button triggers that interact with my smart home devices through alexa when I click them. The problem is that, when I click the IFTTT widget I have created, the app opens and I need to close it manually every time. Is there any way of pressing the widget buttons and it executing the action but not opening the app in my view?

I am using iOS.

Yes, there is a way to customize the behavior of the IFTTT widget on your iOS device so that the app does not open when you click a widget button. Here are the steps:

tap and hold the IFTTT widget on your iOS device until you see the "Edit Widget" button.
tap "Edit Widget" and then select the IFTTT app icon.
Select "No action" from the list of available actions.
Tap "Done" to finish editing the widget.

Changing the widget action to "No action" will no longer open the IFTTT app when you click a widget button. Instead, the selected action will be executed directly.
