Is there a Microphone gain adjustement in the RoomMate settings?

I have a new RoomMate+Meetup with IP Touch and the microphone is way to sensitive. I added the small round expansion mic to see if I could adjust the placement to help but now luck. Either mic is so sensitive it sounds like a jackhammer when someone is typing on their keyboard in the meeting room. All 3 systems are up to date and I have reset them several times. I even replaced the Meetup camera with another one but no change. The meetup camera works fine while plugged into a laptop because I can adjust the mic input gain. Any thoughts?

  • Check the microphone settings under Teams -> Settings -> Display and Audio.
  • Move the microphones further away or position them differently.
  • Install the latest update to apply software fixes from Logitech.
  • When you connect the Meetup to your PC, you will be able to use it under
    **Windows 10
-Windows Key -> Settings -> System -> Sound -> Sound Control Panel -> Recording -> MeetUp Properties -> Level -> Adjust the sensitivity under windows. If the keystrokes are still too loud you can easily cover the microphones to muffle the inputs.
  • For presentations this sensitivity is advantageous because the voice does not have to be amplified.

I've had this same problem for the past few months with a client with a similar setup running Microsoft Teams (albeit with a Rally Plus VC system instead of the MeetUp), going back and forth with Logitech, asking them to build in mic sensitivity dials into the device control panel.
In line with what you've found, we would connect the Rally system to a regular Windows laptop or an Apple laptop and the sound was so much cleaner, no need to dial anything down. As it turns out, Teams for Android (i.e. the Teams implementation on the RoomMate) doesn't have AI noise suppression available unless you've attached a Teams Room Pro license. I'm going to be running a test tomorrow to find out whether the Pro license makes any difference, let's see what happens.
