New or enhanced feature

General features

Support for Yealink MeetingBoard Pro 65/86

  • Support for Yealink MeetingBoard 65/86.

Support for Yealink A50 appliance

  • Support for Yealink A50 appliance.

Support for meeting and webinar branding features

  • When the host or a co-host changes the Zoom meeting or webinar wallpaper, Zoom Rooms will now display the configured image behind meeting participants and screen sharing on the display.

Support for Logitech Rally Board 65 with BYOD

  • Logitech Rally Board 65 devices can be used with the bring your own device (BYOD) functionality.

Support for Lenovo ThinkSmart Core 2 PC and BYOD functionality

  • Support for Lenovo ThinkSmart Core 2 PC and BYOD functionality.

Support for dynamically connecting an additional display

  • Zoom Rooms for Mac now supports dynamically connecting an additional display during meetings, and will immediately start using the new display according to its display layout configuration.

Room presence status updates

  • Zoom Rooms display their presence status as "Busy" when the room is occupied. The presence status is visible to users viewing the Zoom Room contact in their Contacts tab and to admins accessing the admin portal or dashboard. This integration with room occupancy detection helps users and admins quickly identify if a Zoom Room is in use without checking the scheduling display or Workspace Reservation system.

Microsoft Teams direct guest join user experience

  • Users can more easily join Microsoft Teams meetings through Zoom Rooms with improved user interface audio and visual feedback. A tone plays when entering meeting ID digits to minimize input errors, and users can toggle password visibility when entering meeting credentials to confirm they've entered the correct information. If an invalid meeting ID or passcode is entered when joining using the MS Teams web client (Direct Guest Join), the system returns to the entry screen with the previous ID pre-populated and displays an error message. Account owners and admins can control the audio feedback feature through a new setting in the Zoom Rooms configuration.

macOS authentication permissions and messaging

  • Account owners and admins will receive improved authentication notices for macOS Sequoia and above. When OS-level permission is needed, the accessibility permission window will only appear on macOS 15.0 or greater.

Enhancements to Zoom Rooms for touch sharing controls

  • Users of Zoom Rooms for Touch systems can view shared content without permanent button overlays interfering with the display. The system implements the same auto-hide behavior found in the in-meeting menu, where control buttons naturally fade away after a brief period. The interface includes essential functions like annotation tools, sharing controls, and meeting management options that remain easily accessible with a simple touch.

Enhancements to UI themes

  • Users of Zoom Rooms version 6.4.0 and later receive an updated visual interface that is enabled by default. When system appearance is set to Light, the new UI uses the Classic theme, while Dark appearance automatically applies the Dark theme. For Light appearance settings, users can choose from Classic, Bloom, Rose, or Agave themes if they previously enabled the new UI option. The refreshed interface provides a more modern and consistent experience across Zoom Rooms.

Enhancements to the Zoom Rooms companion whiteboard and companion Zoom Room user interface

  • Users viewing shared content on Zoom Rooms companion whiteboard or companion Zoom Rooms will experience an improved interface where control buttons and status messages automatically hide after a few seconds. The switch to local whiteboard and switch content buttons, along with the green you are viewing status message, will disappear after a short delay to provide an unobstructed view. These elements will reappear when users tap anywhere on the display.

Document camera sharing support

  • Users can share content from document cameras in Zoom Rooms during Zoom meetings or during a local-only sharing session, similar to whiteboard camera sharing. The document camera appears as a dedicated option in the content sharing menu, allowing users to quickly select and share a document camera's video. Users with document cameras that have physical share buttons can start and stop sharing directly from the device.

AJA device support for Custom AV

  • AV installers can now use AJA Io, Kona, and Corvid devices for hardware input/output capabilities in Zoom Rooms. The integration supports multi-channel input for SDI cameras and Custom AV outputs for advanced installations.

In-meeting features

Consistent experience for content sharing with a single display

  • Users in Zoom Rooms with a single display will experience consistent content sharing behavior aligned with the desktop client. When content sharing starts, the shared content automatically displays in full-screen mode with a floating speaker view. The system no longer caches the previous view mode selection when content sharing stops and restarts.

Security settings for document sharing

  • Zoom Rooms meeting hosts can control document sharing permissions during meetings through security settings. They can enable or disable participant document sharing, specify who can share when someone else is sharing, and determine which participants can create documents. The settings distinguish between signed-in participants, users within the organization, and anonymous users.

Enhancements to shared content view in webinars

  • Webinar hosts and co-hosts can now hide panelist video tiles while content is being shared, even when panelist cameras are enabled. This new view mode is accessible through the view menu, allowing hosts to set it for their personal view or enforce it for all attendees. When enabled, attendees will only see the shared content without panelist video tiles, making it ideal for scenarios like pre-show slideshows, video sharing, or detailed presentations.

Enhancements to high-fidelity music mode

  • Users can enable high-fidelity music mode to temporarily disable noise suppression and better preserve the full range of sound from musical instruments or other non-speech audio. Zoom Rooms now disables its own noise suppression when this mode is enabled. Additionally, Zoom Rooms detects if the device hardware supports music mode optimizations and enables them while using high-fidelity music mode. Admins can now choose to have high-fidelity music mode enabled by default when meetings start.

Admin features

Package scanning from Zoom Rooms kiosk

  • Users can scan and log incoming deliveries directly from a Zoom Rooms iPad kiosk without requiring admin assistance. The kiosk interface enables users to capture package photos and automatically extract recipient and tracking information using optical character recognition (OCR) technology. Admins can review and verify the scanned information before initiating the delivery notification process. This currently is available only on Zoom Rooms iPad kiosk.

Meeting status indicator controls

  • Account owners and admins can configure which Zoom Rooms displays show meeting status indicators through a new setting in the Meetings tab. The setting allows admins to choose whether indicators appear on all displays, main display only, or main display and confidence monitor only. Meeting status indicators include notifications for recording, AI Companion, paired users, etc. These indicators will remain visible on Zoom Rooms for Touch displays during user interaction and on Zoom Rooms controllers.

HDMI Content share audio control for local playback

  • Account owners and admins can configure whether content share audio from wired HDMI sources plays back for all meeting attendees, including those in the room, or only remote participants. Users can toggle this setting during meetings through the Zoom Rooms controller or touch interface. The default behavior can be set through the web admin portal, allowing organizations to standardize their audio routing preferences.

Enhancements to room check-in with motion detection

  • Account owners and admins can enable automatic check-in for Zoom Rooms based on motion sensor data and room usage activities. When the auto-release time approaches, the system checks for motion detection or active room usage to automatically check in. Users in the room receive a notification when the reservation is automatically checked in, unless they are already in a meeting.

Enhancements to kiosk visual theme

  • Account owners and admins can enable the updated user interface and choose a UI theme for kiosks through the admin portal settings. The updated user interface introduces redesigned icons and color themes (Classic, Bloom, Rose, Agave) similar to those introduced with version 6.0 of the Zoom Workplace app. These settings can be configured at the account, location, or individual room level.

Enhancements to default camera control mode assignment

  • Account owners and admins can no longer set the same camera as both the default for intelligent director or smart gallery modes and multi-camera mode in Zoom Rooms. When attempting to configure a camera that is already assigned to another mode, the system will display a notice indicating the camera is in use and cannot be selected. This prevents configuration conflicts that could cause confusion during meetings and ensures a smoother camera switching experience for users.

Enhancements to automated caption language and translation setting defaults

  • Account owners and admins can set default languages for automated captions and translations in Zoom Rooms. Two new settings in the Meetings tab allow admins to configure the default speaking language for automated captions and the default display language for translated captions.

Configuration options for Help button on Zoom Rooms controllers

  • Account owners and admins can now configure a help button to display on Zoom Rooms Controllers. The help button may be configured with various options, including initiation of a phone call through Zoom Phone or SIP PBX calling integration. Admins can set up specific phone numbers and customize support options through the Zoom admin portal's Support tab. When users tap the support button, they can select from available support options. Note: Zoom Phone or SIP PBX calling integration options will be available for Zoom Rooms for Touch in a future release. Zoom Rooms Controllers will not support Zoom Contact Center support options in this release.

Additional settings for NDI usage

  • Account owners and admins can control Network Device Interface (NDI) inputs and outputs separately through two distinct settings in the Zoom Rooms profile. The NDI camera inputs can be enabled independently from NDI Custom AV outputs, and admins can specify the number of NDI outputs (1-12) needed for each room.

"Events only" field for native room controls

  • Room controls users can specify "events only" in their JSON configuration to hide unnecessary room control interfaces. When this field is specifically defined in the JSON, the Native Room Controls UI will not appear on the Zoom Rooms controller. In deployments using both NRC events and Zoom Apps, the Room Controls button directly launches the Zoom App interface without showing empty room control page.

Controller features

Support for Logitech Tap USB with Logitech Rally Board 65

  • The Logitech Tap USB may now be used with Logitech Rally Board 65 devices.

Configuration options for Zoom Room scheduling display text

  • Account owners and admins can customize the default No upcoming meeting text displayed on Zoom Rooms scheduling displays when there is no calendar service and calendar resource associated with the Zoom Room. The custom message setting appears under the Scheduling Display tab at the account, location, and individual room levels. Admins can enable this feature using a toggle switch and enter custom text up to 64 characters long. The custom text appears on the scheduling display only when no calendar is connected to the Zoom Room.
