Zoom Rooms Update: New Features and Enhancements Released

New Features:

• Native room control enhancements: Administrators can bind twenty commands to a single button.
• Display common area phones: Common area phones can now be viewed and invited to meetings.
• Join ad hoc Microsoft Teams meetings: Enter Microsoft Teams meeting ID and passcode to join.
• Join ad hoc Webex meetings via SIP: Users can join Webex meetings using the meeting ID.
• Passcode for BlueJeans meetings: Automatic parsing of BlueJeans meeting invites for passcodes.
• Shared meeting content on Companion Whiteboards: Content displayed and can be annotated on companion whiteboards.
• Custom join webinar disclaimer support: Disclaimers configured in the web portal will appear in Zoom Rooms.
• Multi-language calendar parsing for Webex invitations: All Zoom-supported languages included.
• Product icon updates: Updated app and home screen icons reflect the new Zoom logo.
• Persistent NDI outputs: Configure NDI output streams’ resolution and frame rate.
• Crestron BYOD support for USB-C: USB-C support on specific Crestron systems; minimum firmware required.

Update Instructions:

• Override Room Activity for Updates: Administrators can immediately update Zoom Rooms, bypassing room activity.

• Firmware upgrade management: Administrators can upgrade firmware for Whiteboard DTEN devices via the device list.
• Bring your own device (BYOD) mode enhancement: Disable default prompts for connecting BYOD devices; users to switch via BYOD icon.
• Display QR code when reserving rooms: Admins can enable QR code scanning for reserving rooms on scheduling displays.
