Remote training possible?

Hello all,

Until now, we have always trained employees on site, this was done with a double headset, so a new employee could listen to the colleagues without problems and follow the conversation.

In teams I do not find a real solution for this. Employee A is located in Hamburg and wants to train employee B in Munich. Both call each other via teams, but if they now contact a customer - a conference with a separate number is always created from the previous call. If the customer dials this number because he wants to call back, he always receives a tape announcement that he is calling in a conference.

Is there another way to do this?

Yes, there is a better way to train new employees with teams without customers getting in the conference or being disrupted.

You can start a private meeting with the new employee and the experienced colleague and conduct it through the Teams interface. A private meeting does not have a separate conference number, so customers will not encounter a recorded message.

Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. start Teams and open the chat with the new employee.
  2. click on the Calendar icon in the left navigation bar.
  3. click Schedule meeting and fill in the required fields, such as date, time and title of the meeting.
  4. enter the name of the experienced colleague in the Attendee field and make sure the Private checkbox is selected.
  5. click Send invitation.
  6. when it is time for the meeting, click Participate in the notification or calendar.
  7. once the meeting is started, the new employee and the experienced colleague can use their headsets to talk to each other and share the screen to show training materials or applications.
