Profinet?

One of our customers needs to read data from the Profinet port of a VFD. We are installing our condition monitoring sensors in their plant. We are not familiar with profinet or Profibus. We have adaptors for converting Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP into wifi or Zigbee protocols. They want us to read the data from the profinet port and send it over a wireless network. Is there any free open source client available that we can use to read data from the port? Our plan is to load the profinet client onto a raspberry pi board and read data. Since it is a closed protocol we are not able to find any open source tools for the same that would run on ARM processors. Any guidance will be much appreciated. There are no free open source client libraries that allow you to read data from a Profinet port. However, there are some commercial libraries and software tools that can help you read Profinet data. One of these tools is the Softing Profinet IO Test Suite. However, this tool is not open source.
Another option is the Wireshark network analyzer, which allows you to record and analyze Profinet traffic. Wireshark is an open source tool and runs on various platforms, including ARM-based systems such as the Raspberry Pi.
