Password wrong although correct?

Hello all,

I now have the following problem: I often use Zoom, it also works, but after about 10 days then Zoom tells me when I want to join a meeting, if I enter the meeting number, and then comes the password, then Zoom then tells me that the password is wrong, although the password is 100% correct, and thus can not join the meeting, and then have to cancel my meeting partner for the day. If I then uninstall Zoom again and reinstall it, then it works again for about 10 days. In the 30 or so days I've had the new notebook, this is the third time I've had to do this. Do you have any idea what this could be? Because every 10 days a program to uninstall and reinstall again is very annoying in the long run.

Thanks in advance for tips & best regards

Hello, with me the problem appears on my fairly new laptop also. I have found a few solutions, which unfortunately all also only last a few months.

1. zoom host ask for an invitation link with built-in password (with pwd in the link).

2. pause all cloud services on the PC or uninstall them if necessary

3. create a new user, it's stupid, but it works.

I suspect that cloud services (which often come pre-installed on Windows) are creating incorrect network links that are interfering with Zoom, but I haven't been able to reproduce anything specific. After a few emails back and forth with Zoom, who tried to help me in the beginning, support is no longer responding.

Hello everyone, I also have this problem on my Pc (Windows 10) but mine is already a year old.

Hello everyone, we have a fairly new notebook ...and the same problem.... Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30 GHz Installed RAM 20.0 GB (17.9 GB usable) .....OEM System type 64-bit operating system We are desperate and have not found a solution yet either. Solution to what?..... From time to time we can't dial in with ZOOM.EXE because the identification code is ALWAYS wrong..... (but it's 100% true) Via the browser it always works...there we got a link which also contains the identification code.... The problem: I am sometimes assigned as a 'co-host' and should show some documents to all present and/or among them also some videos.....(function: 'share screen') Videos cannot be played however in the 'browser version' unfortunately cleanly...since not all features were programmed in such a way as with the EXE. (Something with the sound.... where you can set two checkmarks in the EXE) What have we done so far to get to the bottom of the problem..... Zoom.exe regularly completely reinstalled (previously uninstalled) Zoom.exe also regularly updated CCleaner purchased to digitally 'clean' our notebook regularly Windows updates (WIN 10 Pro 64 bit) regularly installed Conclusion: For a while we had the feeling to have finally made it... But since some time we have the 'old' problem again !!! (Feb 2022) I will put a copy of this text in different forums and hope that we come sometime to Potte. A really sorry topic !!!! Unfortunately !!! Greeting A.B.

Hello everyone

Had the same problem. Rebooted, reinstalled, tried with invite link, closed all programs, nothing helped. Then turned Windows Defender off. And it worked. There is an option cloud based protection. (ahahaha) I think that's the culprit. Couldn't try just deselecting that option yet.

Well good luck!

Hello everyone,

I welcome myself to your club. However, I mostly appear as a host, and the problem with the allegedly "wrong" password occurs with the invited people.

The only sustainable solution that works for me - is disabling the password in my Zoom profile. But is not secure and incompatible with some applications (like eTermin).

I also have no idea where to find the solution. Zoom support is not responding, my usual IT "savior" is helpless, even IT forums on social media do not provide solutions.

So get back to me who could already help themselves here!
