Zoom Inc. Zoom Video Conferencing - Zoom Video not working?

Question

Neither video nor virtual background work in zoom. I can see other users, but I remain "invisible" myself. My window is "black". Tried all video settings in Zoom -> no success.

Installed Zoom under another user on the same PC -> works perfectly.

Skype and "camera" work perfectly under my id.

Uninstalled Zoom, deleted folder "...\AppData\Zoom", rebooted and reinstalled Zoom. Still doesn't work.

Why doesn't even the virtual background work? It has nothing to do with the camera.

Are there any other hidden settings or config-files in the system that I need to change?

The virtual background works ONLY with camera. This is unfortunately the case, otherwise it would not make sense.

If Zoom does not recognize your camera, there are some possible solutions:

make sure the camera is properly connected to your computer and turned on. Also check that the camera is recognized by other applications.
check in the zoom settings under "Video" if the correct camera is selected. If you have multiple cameras connected, make sure you select the correct one.
Make sure Zoom has access to your camera. If your camera is blocked by your operating system, you can change the permission in the settings.
update the drivers for your camera. Check your camera manufacturer's website to make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers.
If all of the above solutions do not work, your camera may not be compatible with Zoom. Check the list of supported cameras on the Zoom website or contact the camera manufacturer for further assistance.
