Bad playback on Dante network?

OK so I'm admittedly new to Pro Tools and have what should be a simple problem but have yet to find a solution.

Running Pro Tools 12 on a Mac book with the following specs:

OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

2.2GHZ Intel Core i7

16GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I've been recording in the field via Dante up to 18 tracks so far with no problems. When I transfer the session to my studio computer (big, fast, and lots of memory) everything is fine. But when I try two playback from my laptop via Dante into an Audinate Stereo Dante interface and then into my console, the playback is stuttering and virtually useless. I've tried what I would think were all of the obvious changes, changing the butter size etc. with little to no effect. Is there something I'm missing? Again being new to Pro Tools I'm not as comfortable or familiar with all of the subtleties of setting up a fully functional Pro Tools system and just wanted to try to determine if this is something that can be fixed via proper setup or is my computer just too damn slow. I want to think that it's not the computer since it seems to be recording so effortlessly.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Are you using a local network to connect the devices? This sounds like it might be a issue with network bandwith and QoS. Furthermore have you checked your're clock leader and set the same sample rate from Pro Tools in every device includig the individual Dante devices?
